How to retrieve cellphone stuck under front passenger seat
How to retrieve cellphone stuck under front passenger seat
Help! My cellphone is stuck underneath the front passenger seat. And I mean stuck. I've used a flashlight to look under the seat in the forward and back position, and it wasn't on the floor as I thought it might be. I've called my cellphone so it will ring while I'm searching inside. The phone vibrates underneath the seat and I can hear the greeting, but I can't see where it is coming from exactly.
I'm at my wits end. Does anyone know how I can lift the front of the seat manually (not a power seat) without messing up the wiring? What tools if any should I use?

Just unbolt the seat and tilt it back. There will be enough slack in the cables for you to retrieve the phone. I think the bolts are 14mm. If you have a normal socket set you should have the correct tools.

wouldn't hurt to unbolt the seat entirely, then basically tilt it so the back of the seat is touching your backseat (without using the lever, if that wasn't clear). I think Colin is right, and they're 14mm bolts. All you'd need is a 14mm socket and ratcheting wrench
