drivers side seat not reclining

drivers side seat not reclining
I've got a 98 honda civic ex. When trying to recline the drivers side seat, the seat will recline, but the latches will not engage to keep the seat at the desired spot. The seat only latches at the most upright spot. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Remove the seat and take off the cover along the outside of the seat. I'm guessing you have something lodged in the mechanism. If not, the lever spring may have been disconnected or damaged/broken.
