Drivers window not sealing properly [solved]

I have a 98 Civic hatch that has a pretty nasty whistle coming from the drivers window at freeway speeds. Sometimes I can crank the window up a bit more (manual windows) and it'll go away, but usually there's still a little wind noise left. Looking from the outside I can see that there's a few milimeters from the window being all the way seated at the top of the window seal. From inside the car I can feel the window moving in and out rapidly as I move at high speeds.

I already had the window regulator replaced 3 years ago as the window was going up and down unevenly. I've also replaced both inner and outer window scrapers on the door which helped significantly. Also the window seal doesn't appear to be degraded or damaged and the window itself doesn't seem to be popping out of the track as I've seen others complain about.

So my question is this: do I need to get a replacement seal? Is it worn out in ways I can't see like the other seals were? Or is there something else I should check?

My guess is that the regulator needs to be replaced again.
you can try lubricating the seals with silicone spray

I'll try lubricating it for now. Also it seems to not do this as much when it's warmer out. Does that sound like anything?

Rubbers softer when warmer. Could try a new seal, not sure how much they are

So it turns out it was the window regulator. I finally had to replace it because it got stuck in the up position and wouldn't roll down at all. When I got the old one out the gear mechanism was all sketchy and took some effort to wind down, and then the spring would kick it back the other way.

I also suspect the guy who installed the last window regulator 4 years ago installed the bottom mount backwards because I almost did the same thing and the window still works with it like that but it binds halfway through it's travel. The track for that mount was bent out in both directions so I think it had been binding the whole time and slowly wearing out.

Anyway now the window rolls up and down just fine and the whistling is gone!
