Windows not rolling down

I bought my 96 Civic used and the driver rear window never worked. I never looked into it. A couple years pass and the back passenger window stopped working. A couple more years pass and the front passenger window stops rolling down. The driver side still works and has had no issues.

I decided to replace the driver window control module and that made no difference. I replaced all 4 fuses for each window and it had no affect.

It seems the issue cascaded through the windows. What would cause that? What should I look at?

Thanks in advance.

Check for broken wires in the door harness, they usually break near the hinges because the harness flexes everytime the door is opened and closed

Is it one wire that comes out from the driver master cutout switch to the rest of the doors?

Or are you saying check each door's wire at the Jam?

Will the driver door fall victim to the same issue?

Thanks!

Re: Windows not rolling down

There's a bunch of wires wrapped in wiring loom. That makes a harness.
Driver's door gets the most use so that is most likely where the damage is. Check the other doors after that.

Hmmm don't have a wiring diagram. Maybe I can find one to help with chasing the wires down.

Any good manual wiring diagrams online that you know of?

There's literally one on this site available for free. Quick search would have found it.

Re: Windows not rolling down

You're looking for broken wires and then colour matching... No diagram needed

Simple enough.

The cascading issue makes me feel like it is a the driver door, one wire sheering at a time. I am assuming I will find 3 broken wires? Does that sound about right?

Potentially, some could be damaged but still working
