Freakin' froo frag windows...

01 Sedan...

OK....Problem with two of my windows.

1. Front Passenger Side Window:

I don't if all sedans of all makes and models have this problem, but my seal is so freakin tight that it made my window roll up really slow. My father said that his 2001 Nissan Maxima had the same problem. Well, me being lazy, one day after comming home from school, having all my windows down, I tried to roll them up. Well, the passenger window rolled up reallll slow....then came off track...and then I leaped like Cliffhanger and grabbed the window before it fell. After the daring rescue, I looked and saw that the window sits on a sleeve, and that the sleeve was not attached to the window. So, if I roll the window down, the sleeve will move, but the window won't. And, if I push the window down, when it rolls up, it comes off track.

2. Rear Driver Side Window:

You all should know that these windows work on a cable/pully system. Well...my cable is tangled and the window won't roll down. Bastard.

Can someone PLEASE help a brotha out?

Thanks.

Biggs

there is a tsb for the front window. if you remove the door panel you will see a run channel which is what the window slides in. if you look at it towards the back of the door, you will notice that it is not attached to the door frame like it is supposed to be, thus why the window rolls up or down slow. once reattached to the frame the window will work like it is supposed to. I had the same issue and after the dealer replaced the regulator and it still happened, I fixed it myself.

as for the rear window, and with any window on any car it uses a window regulator. sometimes the cables get tangled and the regulator binds. all you can do is replace it. I see this all the time at work and have replaced several so far.
