I have a 98 civic lx. It took me a while to get it back on the road after being stolen. I replace everything that I saw was missing. Including distributor. Took a couple of trips to Pick&Pull till I got the right one. As as I installed the new distributor (new to me) it started right up. Ran good with a little idle fluctuations, up and down. Few months go by and in going down the road in the engine dies. Tried to start but no luck. Felt like it had no fuel, but I had a half tank gas. Since that day I've tried a few thing but no luck. A friend said check idle control module. A neighbor said that an icm was only on a vtec. So I'm stuck!!
It's been like 2yrs since i tried anything. Now I'm trying to sale it but I don't wanna pass my problems to someone else. Could this be the idle air control valve or anything close???

You need to find what's missing. Check spark, fuel, and compression.
