I have a 00 Honda civic ex manual trands, has been sitting in garage for aprox 5 yrs. No crank no start. Just put a new batt. and starter in it. All lights and electronics turn on in on position. when i turn the key to start all electronics and a/c turn off. checked the oil looks good. two back running lights stay on even when i take the key out of car. reg. low beam lights work when i turn the highs on they are dimmer. checked all the fuses and all are good. brake lights do not work. trying to get it running so i can take it to a mechanic to try and fix. any input would help.

check the brake switch and the clutch switch.
Also check the electrical part of the ignition switch

No crank but battery and starter are new, check your grounds or ground wires for corrosion. Transmission to frame, back of the water housing and valve cover. Are you getting an audible click/pop from the starter with key fully turned. If you have 12v at the starter with key to crank then you have bad grounds.

Check ignition for spark as well as fuel. Can you hear the pump prime?
