Hello,
So I wanted to make the change from distributor to coilpacks for better performance and more reliability.I have already done some research but dont deally know what I need. If someone maybe has some time to tell me what would be needed for this conversion, that would be great
The car is a Honda Civic Hatchback Year 2000 with a D14 Non VTec.

Would appreciate the help

Not worth the time and money. Imo.

Needed

-coil packs
-ecu to drive packs
-compatible wiring harness
-compatible timing sensors (map, tdc,crank)
-probably other stuff.

MCM has an episode on youtube where they converted a car, maybe check that out.

I want to do it for the reliabilty factor and honestly ive never had a car with a distributor as the ignition system till this this day. Apparantly these distributors struggle at a higher rpm since the spark sometimes is blown out and wanted to switch to a more reliable setup.
But thanks , will definitely watch that MCM for some more understanding
