Hi guys my honda si d1.6y8 engine sized up we installed a d1.5b in it the distributor was taken of the guy said that it did come with the engine he said that my old distributor will work after trying for a while the mechanic said that the distributor is the wrong one i need to get one for the engine that i bought every time we try to set the timming with the light the distributor has to be advanced all the way for the engine to have the power & the vtec to kick in i took the car back to the place where i bought the engine the guy said that the timming is of by a tooth so i took it back to my mechanic he check it from the dealer & the hanes manual the marks are all correct any suggestion with this problem i don't want to buy a distributor and still have the same problem with the timming any help with this problem will be greatful.

Hi guys i did not get any reply to my question that i posted a few weeks ago i am intrested in buying a distributor the mechanic said to look for one that stamp TD63U or TD73U any one out there that can help i will be greatful i need to get the car runing right if the car runs for a few days the SERVICE SOON light comes on the is P1336 (the camshaft sensor is not in syn with the crankshaft sensor) the only thing that i did not get with the engine is the distributor need help.
