P0325 knock sensor issues
P0325 knock sensor issues
Hey Everyone. Have a couple of questions here. Some background first - I had to replace my knock sensor because the sensor connector broke off the sensor itself during an upper intake gasket replacement. Obviously it set a hard p0325 check engine light. Once I replaced it, I now get an intermittent p0325 code. Intermittent as in I can drive it around for days before it sets the code and once I reset it, I have a few more days before it turns on again. My first question is, is the p0325 code JUST for if the sensor itself is bad (or the wiring/connector)? Or can it also be for if the sensor actually detects a knock in the engine? Lastly, what other causes of p0325 could there be besides the sensor and related wires/connector? FWIW - I have no drivability issues. No hard starts, rough idles, or surging. Before the sensor replacement (while it was broken) I had horrible gas mileage, I was getting about 25 mpg but after the replacement even with the code being intermittent I'm back up to 35 mpg where I was before the sensor broke. Engine is a D16Y8 for you mobile users lol.

Re: P0325 knock sensor issues
No, I wanted to eliminate the stuff in my OP first before I have to pony up the ~$200 for an actual Honda sensor. It wasn't the cheapest knock-off I could find but it wasn't an OEM Honda one either. And I totally get that Honda doesn't tend to like non Honda branded stuff.
