2000 SIR Aftermarket alarm malfunctioning, car won’t start
I recently purchased a 2000 civic SiR that has an aftermarket alarm system (Crimestopper SP-501). Occasionally there are times where I try to crank the engine and the starter doesn’t go; all I hear is a relay on the passenger side click, nothing else. If I play with the buttons on the key fob or wait about an hour then it will start out of nowhere, but it feels completely random as to what fixes the issue in this case. Trying to override the starter via the program button does nothing. I can’t find a manual for this specific alarm anywhere and this issue is driving me crazy as I’ve been stranded at major intersections because of this.
Ontop of this, Ive also recently ran into an issue where if I try to start my car, the battery completely dies. When the key is in the accessory position, everything is fine, but if I attempt to start the vehicle then everything shuts off and i need a jump to my battery. The previous owner has said that the battery is new (stamped 2018). Im not sure if this issue is related to my issue with the alarm system or if this is a completely new problem.
I have no idea what to do now as I feel that I can’t just bring the car to a mechanic given how specific the issue is, without having my car stuck in a shop for weeks. Could I just pull out the alarm system? If so then what would I have to do after that? Could this all be because of something else? Any help would be appreciated.

Pull out the alarm and fix any cut/hacked wires. I had to do this to my SI. And throw in a new battery
