Sprung driver's door - lots of wind noise now
I was working on my Civic in the driveway, sun was hot so I moved it into the shade. (air cleaner box was off, so I was pushing it)
I had the door open and it started to roll, (backwards) but I jumped in too late to stop it before the door contacted a tree.
There was a CRACK.
Everything looks fine, but the door sort of 'pops' open a couple inches when I pull the door handle. Also there is a LOT of wind noise - the faster I go the worse it is - of course.
Any ideas how I can fix this? Is there something inside the door that I can bend back to the correct configuration? I have no problem pulling the door panel.
This noise is unacceptable.
Thanks!

Re: Sprung driver's door - lots of wind noise now
Chilton and Haynes manuals always say installation is the reverse of disassembly. Simple.
So....I guess that means you need to un-hit the tree. Simple.
It could have bent the post that holds the hinges, it could have bent the door, and more
A decent bodyshop should be able to fix it.

I think the door is fine; I believe the problem is in the hinge area. Looks like the hinge halves mounted to the body may have pulled out a bit.
Not looking to pay body shop prices; I am going to try fixing it myself - hopefully not making it worse.
Thanks!

Update - better late than never.
A friend and I pulled the door and tapped in the body side door hinge halves a bit. That didn't quite do it, so we used a big bar to tweak the door/window frame some.
Took about an hour - all good - no more water leaks or wind noise. The latch makes a tad more contact than it should when closing the door, so I'll play with that later.
