NYC Parking Enforcement wrecked my car!
I thought parking enforcement people are pros at getting into locked cars, Not so in NY city! The guy first tried the driver side door with a slim jim and gave up after buggering the actuating rod for the outside door handle. Don't they know that you can't slim-jim a civic??
He then forced the pass side door open with the rubber wedge thingy. With the door forced apart from the car frame, he was able to get a coat hanger wire to scratch up my tint, and unlock the door!!!
I re-hooked up the actuating rod on the driver side and redid the tint. But now I can hear wind noise at speeds above 50 mph. The noise is coming from the upper corner on the pass side door. I checked the rubber door seals and they all look perfect.
My only guess is that the entire door frame got slightly bent and won't seal properly. How the heck do I fix that ?
Any one ever experience this after having their car broke into?
