stay away from this vendor!

Hey all......I have a 2003 Honda Civic EX coupe.....2 years go the steering rack had to be replaced. I purchased a new steering rack complete with inner and outer tie rods from DETROIT AXLE. Since day one the tie rods have been making a banging noise like the knuckle is not lubricated or defective. Both sides have this same loud popping/banging noise going on. I've reached out to my mechanic, and he's of the opinion that they are poor quality tie rods. Detroit Axle already sent me one replacement, which did no good. So in total, the original two inner tie rods and an additional replacement have all failed. I purchased these through Amazon and both Amazon and Detroit Axle are willing to to NOTHING to resolve the issue except send me more tie rods which I have to pay shipping for. The definition of a fool is someone who continues to do the same thing expecting a different result. I'm no fool. I've asked for restitution in the form of monetary compensation and have been told by both Amazon and Detroit Axle..NO. I won't do business with DETROIT AXLE ever again, they have a bad reputation, google them and see for yourself. Stay away from DETROIT AXLE unless you enjoy spending more and more money to fix their mess.

I read your post, and your situation really does look unpleasant. I understand why you are dissatisfied with Detroit Axle and Amazon if you had to change the parts several times and the problem was never solved. I have dealt with similar situations before, when support only promises to send new parts, but in fact nothing changes. Sometimes it’s easier to look for other options right away than to waste money and time on the same thing.

Yes,,,,that's exactly what I did...I wasn't about to waste one more penny with Detriot Axle and the junk they have sent me in the past. I hope others will be able to avoid the misery AND the extra expense that I endured because of the poor quality parts they sold.
