My daughters 99 civic ex needs inner cv boots. I noticed it the other day when rotating her tires. There was no clamp on the outside of either inner boot! The boots look to be in good shape but it really doesn't look like there is anywhere on these boots to put a clamp or zip tie (no flat spot to fit along the shaft). I have not noticed any noise or clicking at all from this area so I think I'll just repack with grease and put new boots on.

Has anyone ever used the "quick boots" or "speedy boots" that are split and glued together over the axle? Seems like a much easier job and less expensive one at that for a DIYer. I really don't want to try the whole shaft replacement and cannot afford to sink any more money into this car to pay someone to do it. Any suggestions are appreciated
