2003 Civic Vtec Se sport
I'm seeking some trouble shooting information. There's a power loss to the tail gate. Fuses are OK. Also after the engine comes off the automatic choke it idles around 1000rpm. When the throttle is given, rpm sticks at 2000. Eny solutions to these issues would be much appreciated. Thanks.

The trunk has a latch - I don't believe any power goes to it. Perhaps it's locked via the keyhole to the left of the drivers seat? Assuming this is a left-hand drive vehicle, otherwise assume the inverse.
The car is fuel-injected. Your idle air control valve may be sticky. Clean it out.
