P0118 & P1298 OBD Code
P0118 & P1298 OBD Code
Good Evening,
I recently replaced the ECT sensor on my 2002 Honda Civic EX Coupe, but my OBD-II Scanner detected two codes (P0118 and P1298). The check engine light disappeared and the sensor reads the temperature on my dashboard. Is there other options or methods to solve P0118? Should I clear the fault code? I hear it may fail future smog tests. Is this true?
As for P1298, I purchased a Genuine Honda 38255-S5A-003 Electronic Load Detector Unit and hope it will clear the code. Any feedback is appreciated.
