a few questions

so im in the process of replacing my clutch and just had a few questions about some things i encountered, mainly that when taking out the axles from the transmission about a third a quart of transmission fluid leaked out, i didnt drain the fluid before hand and i was wondering if that is normal? and if i would have to top the transmission fluid up as a result of the leak? also, to get access to a bolt i removed the front swaybar, but when i was re installing it i used my impact in auto mode for the first bolt expecting it to stop once it was in, it did not and it cranked down on it so tight that the other 3 bolt holes did not line up, so i removed the bolt and re did it with a ratchet, all the bolt holes lined up fine and nothing looked broken, is it possible that the bolt is damaged from over torqueing or would the bolt have just snapped if it was?

Re: a few questions

Check the fluid level like the owner's manual instructs afterwards. Fill if necessary.

I wouldn't worry about the bolt unless it was physically deformed.

Re: a few questions

This, you'll probably need to add fluid

Re: a few questions

I think the fill port was above the axles, so, yes, it will spill out.
also, did you level the gearbox before removing?

Re: a few questions

you already removed the axles and it spilled, no need to level it...
after you reassemble, it should level when you fill the trans

Re: a few questions

for those other members wondering, this is the post with how the engine/trans are placed during the clutch job and why we are saying what we are saying.
