Since I bought my car (2006 civic sedan) used, the master key fob has never worked very well. It works to start the car, but as the casing's worn on it and the buttons don't work, I generally just use the valet key. I replaced the battery and tried the reprogramming steps, but to no avail. With this said, wanted to ask if anyone had a working 8th gen key fob & could tell me if the little red light by the lock button is supposed to light up when just the lock button is pressed, or if it's supposed to do so when any button is pressed, not just the lock. Mine does so only for the lock button, so just trying to troubleshoot if it might be an issue of the connections for the other two buttons.
