2007 Civic - Immobilizer not recognizing key (green flashing key light)
Hi everyone, hoping to get some help with an issue on my 2007 Civic that’s driving me crazy. A few days ago my car suddenly wouldn't start. I noticed the green key indicator wouldn’t stop flashing. All the fuses are good. Thought the issue might be with the key, so had a locksmith come out to try and reprogram. He was unable to reprogram them and kept getting an error message. Following his suggestion I had the car towed to a dealer, who tells me for starters a new ecu is needed ($1700 parts /labor), and then they’ll see if there are other issues. I ordered matching ecu, ignition switch and key (used). After installing, still getting the flashing green key light. Any other ideas of what to try would be greatly appreciated!
