just installed my intake and now my accelerates is slower

just installed my intake and now my accelerates is slower

I just installed my aem intake and now my accelerates is slower then before. It seem like my gas pedal is loose not as tight/hard use to be. I don't know is it me or it seem my gas pedal is shorter? help help!

In general if you installed an SRI then you will accelerate slower in the low-end rpms and have more power in the high-end, while CAI will give you opposite results.

Did you reset your computer? Pull the battery cable, then turn the key to discharge the system. Let the car sit for 10 minutes, hook it back up and let the engine idle for 10 minutes without touching the gas pedal at all. That should re-set the computer to the new increase in air flow. Any of the pipe/cone filter intakes are going to take out low end power since you took the resonator out.

Driving around also resets your ecu to the new hardware, this method only does it faster.

yeah, its basically a breaking in process for your intake. most all bolt on mods require you to break your **** in

Well if you read, it says he JUST installed it... therefore the computer would not have the time reset, and would account for the engine running like ****. It takes a couple hundred miles for the car to adjust on its own.
