Front lip

What can be done to keep the front lip of your body kit from Chipping.?I have already painted it twice and im going on the third time. Need some suggestions.

I think they sell clear protective film that you can stick to your headlights...works for anything though.

Look around for it. or ask on the OPP section.

the front lip is primered, painted, then clear coated, and i still recieve rock chips.

StonGard, or 3M XPEL film... Works great... I used it on my previous WRX (on the parts I was able to apply it on) and had ZERO chips.

I was going to do the Civic (even though it had a few chips -- bought it used). But, the weather was crappy and they never clean the roads here. I've got a few more rock chips now and am thinking I won't bother with the XPEL on this car... oh well, maybe if the paint chips really bad and I have to repaint the front I would do XPEL...

but hey, its my beater

check out www.xpel.com -- they sell bulk film as well as pre-cut film

No chip prolbems with my OEM factory painted lip.

You gotta use paint that's compatable with urethane and has some flexing agents i it.

its because OEM is plastic. Its the urethane and fiber glass that chips

rocks are gonna chip yo **** nomatter if its plastic urethane ect. especially if your car is lowered. get that film stuff that Ak suggested. My lip paint is chipped also I was thinking of just getting a new oem painted from hondawerx.
