gauge needle problem
i'm new to this forum and i'm wondering if someone can help. i just installed indiglo gauges on my 02 civic and i'm having a problem with the gas needle. it doesn't seem to have a stop anymore. i pulled the gauges and set the needle at the normal point when the car is off and started it and it seemed to be fine until i cut it off and it dropped past the stop i set it at. the next time it went didn't go as far up when i started it and went further down. what can i do to fix it or is it shot to **** now? thanks for your help

but all i would really need is to create a stop point like what is used for the tach and speedometer right? i can do this without it even being noticeable i believe and without much effort other than pulling the plastic trim and cover.

that's exactly what i was going to do. i played with it some the yesterday and it held the first time i set it but without the stop it continued to fall each time. i think this will work but i'll just fill the tank so i have a reference point and try it later this week. thanks.
Hey how about filling your gas tank up and then rotate your gas guage so the needle will move up to F or Full. I never noticed that there was a stop on the gas gauge and the temp guage, but I did notice it on the speedometer and Tachometer. Guess I'll check that next time I go to the car. Hope this Helps.
my car had the same problem when i had reverse indiglos on! when i took it to the dealer, they blamed it on the indiglo, and said it won't go under warranty...but a month later, with the indeglo off, they said they would be glad to fix and replace it for me...so i got my self a brand new guages and a big fat ZERO on my oddometer! hope it helps...
