Driver's side door lock is dumb...

Is there a way to make the driver's door lock NOT have to be locked from the outside? Can't I change something to make it lock from the inside, just like the passenger door? I read the manual but it says nothing about this. Please help me. I'm tired of locking the door with the key from the outside. Yes, I know I can hold down the lock button while I pull up on the door handle from outside and not have to use the key but that is rediculous, too.

While I realize this is a safety precaution, I want it to be normal, like the other door. Is this possible?

all you have to do is hold out the handle on the inside and press the lock button down at the same time

All Honda's are like that, you have to pull out the door handle and then press the door lock switch to do both. Our 94 accord had it like that, my friends 91 accord had it, my friends 99 civic has it, mine has it, You get the point.

I think is a way to avoid you leaving your key behind. Most cars do it not just honda.
