Passenger door lock
Hello All I have a 2001 Honda Civic ex coupe, the passenger side door does not lock or open with the diver side door lock unlock switch, so I have to reach over & unlock the door for my passengers. Anyone know a fix or what maybe wrong??

Re: Passenger door lock
Look for slight movement of lock ****, and listen for any noise from that door when locking/unlocking, Close all the doors and work the power locks several times and see if it will move.
Best to determine if voltage is reaching actuator first off. (broken wire possible)

Re: Passenger door lock
The click means that the small actuator that pushes and pulls the locking mechanism is getting power. But clicking doesn't mean the actuator is working properly.
You likely have one of the two problems:
- The actuator is stuck, thus not moving the locking mechanism
- Something has come apart between the actuator and locking mechanism
In either case, you will likely have to remove the door panel and physically look and see what is wrong.

Re: Passenger door lock
You may be hearing the relay under the dash clicking.
Listen and watch close at the lock ****.
Trying to determine if voltage is reaching actuator. If it is then replacement will likely resolve problem.
