Re: ever change sunroof seal?

is the seal broken or is your sunroof leaking?

if the seal isn't physically cracked and broken, you might not need to replace it because it's not water tight anyways...the car relies on the gutter system to keep water out of the car. if the gutter drains are clogged, the moonroof will leak

Re: ever change sunroof seal?

You just quoted yourself

The sunroof seal is always going to leak a little, that's why there is a drain at each corner. As long as the seal is still in one piece it is likely okay. The only way to find a leak like this is going to be having someone spray the car down while you're inside trying to narrow down the source.

just try to put water ,so the small strip run on the side of the roof is leaking some how i spill water bottle on the strip above LH door and went in to see the leak and yes its coming out from the rear wind shield some how and entering to roof area behind the driver now just want to see if the welds r open oe the rear wind shield rubber seal is worn out. thanks
