Leaky Cam Seal? Me Too!
Leaky Cam Seal? Me Too!
Does anyone have a solution on how to fix a leaky cam seal, or have a suggestion on an after market replacement...I gotta tell ya, oil makes for a messy looking engine. It doesn't gush...just drips and dribbles, pools there and spatters and makes an ugly mess over time...it's just aggravating really. If anyone has a suggestion I'd really appreciate it.

Are you talking about that little round plastic seal with an O-ring on the side of your block? if thats the case just go order a new one from the dealer... i know thats usually NOT the way to go but i just changed mine not too long ago and it cost me somewhere around 12.00. Pop the old one out with a screwdriver and then pop the new one in.

Yeah, those things can get f'd up over time.
Or if it continues, you could use some Honda Bond around the seal to plug it up. Sometimes it can be hard to find, but once you do find it (call a bunch of dealers in your area- one should have a tube of it for ya for around 10 bucks, and it'll be much bigger then you'll need.) Honda Bond A is temperature and water resistant.
