your knees should be fine... that panel below the stearing wheel is just weak plastic held in by a few clips
press on it and you'll see it bend... im sure your knees going at about 40mph would just snap through there
maybe bruised.. but nothin's going to break on you

i'm 6'2" and i used to drive a standard cab s10 5spd so going from that to my civic is a huge difference even if there isn't alot of leg room. but i do feel more comfortable and at least i can lay back

Fudge! I am 5'9" and I ride with my seat all the way back and tilted about 30 degrees or so. I like to be able to stretch my left leg out completely straight. This is the first honda that I have not been able to do that in. I feel like I am riding on top of the dash. I thought I would get used to it but a year later, it still annoys me everytime I am in the car.
I don't know how you guys manage. I never would have bought this car if I was 6' tall.

Re: to all my tall people
6'4" 300 lbs.... i guess the 2 dr has more leg room.... i cant even slam the seat like these other guys say they can.... just looking for someone who has done it already.... looks like i may have to just take a minute and pull it out and see what im dealing with.
Re: to all my tall people
Im 6 2 and ive been wondering the same thing as all these other guys. i have a bride seat and was wondering if i can get longer rails on the mounting brackets for the seat when i decide to put the seat in. any help will be appreciated.
Re: to all my tall people
well... i didnt even have to go that far..... after driving it for a day, i realize its not the seat placement.... its the door post that makes it harder for me to get in and out of than the 2 dr version...... so i think it might be cheaper just to go on a diet
Re: to all my tall people
I feel proud of my Vic
Its got more leg room than my brothers 350Z !!!
Its true u gotta sacrifice one thing for the other
I guess Honda sacrificed the power and Nissan sacrificed the Legroom comfort hahahaha

^^agreed, my cars got no ***** at all, but its roomy as hell!
im 6'4, and my seats used to be slammed the whole way back, but it was still a comfortable ride, i recently upgraded to racing seats, so the ride hieght is alot lower, and now my head doesn't scrap against the roof if i straighten my back. WOOT!

I'm 7'. I win... Just Joking.. I'm 6'2ish and I drive with the bottom all the way back, and the back section of the seat adjusted so that My when both arms are on the steering wheel, they extend completely out. Really sucks for those who try and sit behind me because I refuse to adjust my seat. haha
