2001 Civic EX Coupe Cold Air when idle
Hello everyone, I have a 2001 Civic EX coupe and I am noticing when I stop my car at a stoplight the heat will blow cold, however when I continue after the stop, the air will gradually warm up again. I have checked all fluid levels and that all seems to be in order. Any idea what may be going on?
Re: 2001 Civic EX Coupe Cold Air when idle
I am having the same problem with my 01 Civic. The engine heats up fine and never fluctuates. I am assuming this means that the head is okay and the thermostat is okay...right? From reading the other threads, it sounds like it might be a heater core issue. Any other thoughts?

I'm not sure how easy it is to get to the thermostat, but that's the first thing I would replace. It's cheap.... Then go on to more expensive stuff. Does the temp of your engine remain constant, or does that fluctuate when this happens? For some reason I seem to remember someone else had this problem, can't place it though. Good luck.
