Try to find some of that HIGH-TEMPERATURE sound deadeining stuff (like fatmat or dynamat)

Put some on the frame (where it hits) and that should deaden the sound.

If all that fails, go to a muffler shop and have them weld a hanger so the pipe doesn't move.

i agree with iluvbritney, i have the tcs, and have no problems, its a very nice exhaust system, DC is one of the most well known Honda tuners around, and why? for quality, durability, and craftsmanship, they may be a little more than others, but you get quality. dis regard 3rdcivic's comments

Nope. I'm not a ricer.

I've owned the DC TCS, Greddy Evo, and am now driving with the HKS Hiper axle-back.

As many know, cat-back systems provide a small amount of additional horsepower in the HIGHER rpms (5000+ on our cars). Granted the right ones can sound nice but that's really all anyone's buying if they own a naturally aspirated civic with a relatively weak 1.7L engine.

There are a few reasons I despise the TCS.
-First, it took 3 attempts on DC Sports behalf to get me a system that actually kind of fit properly. Each time, the tip was offset so much that it would burn the paint off my bumper cut-out. Finally I gave up and sold the thing.
-No noticeable performance improvement until quite high in the RPM's (duh, it's a large pipe diameter cat-back system)
-Rattled like crazy under my shifter
-Exhaust note is too subtle to be worth as much as that thing sells for.
-Everybody and their dog has been suckered into buying it because for the longest time, it was one of only two manufactured systems available (the other being Thermal R&D...yet another piece of poorly fitting/poor sounding CRAP).

I've been VERY pleased with the HKS Hiper as it maintains the low-end, provides improved exhaust flow at higher RPM's/speeds, and sounds powerful (but not "ricey", whiny, buzzy, or anything of the sort). And the quality is absolutely top-of-the-line. Fitment by the way is wonderful (even with the Progress rear tiebar/sway-bar set-up which eliminates some clearance).

Just because everyone buys a particular item, does not guarantee it's any good! Take Altezzas, heavy-*** rims, indiglo windshield squirters, interior/exterior neon, skyhigh spoilers for example!

If everyone was suckered into buying one why did you purchase one? I too have owned an HKS rear section: The Super Drager for a '97 civic coupe. I liked that set up but the TCS sounds twice as loud to me. Just my opinion.

666, you answered your own question. I had three choices: TCS or Thermal R&D or ghetto exhaust shop piece-it-together system. I should have waited and saved my money.

iluvbritney, judging from the crap you have on your car (chrome Alba's,washer LED's,"screw" LED's,Mugen decal(no Mugen on your car however), Liteglow neon rods, etc.), one can only guess why you bought the TCS. Most likely because everyone else was getting it! Do you by chance have a huge stack of J.C. Whitney catalogs piled in the corner of your room? Is your next big purchase one of those aluminum racing spoilers?

It's kinda funny to see all the stupid-*** posts on this site because they come from people who know next to nothing about the cars they drive. Most of the people on this site don't even have enough brains to think for themselves and research the products they're installing (or should I say, having the local "Tuner" shop install).

THINK people THINK!

3rdcivic are you PMSing :x jk anyways I do agree with 3rdcivic, YukonArt owns the TCS after numerous times of telling him how much of a bumblee noise it makes he still likes it. It also bangs against hte frame when it rains. Which is a really strange thing that shouldn't be happening. Oh well everyone has different tastes. lol I for one hate people who buy parts because of the name reputation. Quality and somewhat performance should be the top 2 things people should look for. Anyways done with my rant

Ah, my bud eXNBP!

Yeah, I'm just trying to make a point that there is a lot of CRAP out there and people should do some true research for themselves versus going off other people's opinion. There is enough strong information out there to create the vehicle you REALLY want versus settling for what everybody else ALREADY HAS!

Guess it's just that time of the month again. Not to mention my 1.5 hour commute every morning is starting to really **** me off!
