Frozen driver-side wiper nozzle? :(

This is the second time it's happened to me...

My driver side windshield nozzle has frozen up!

It snowed this morning here in Toronto, and it's only like...-4C (not that much below freezing), and well, there's no snow or ice on my hood as I wiped it off, and when I sprayed, nothing came out of the driver side nozzle! My nozzles are stock BTW...

Another time it was colder, like -15C, and it did the same thing. Only the driver side. When I lifted the hood, I saw BUBBLES in the nozzle tubes. Is this supposed to happen??? Or do I have a leak somewhere?

I've checked the hoses and there doesn't seem to be a leak. I'm using "Canadian Tire-brand" stuff that's green in colour. It's supposed to be up to -40C plus detergent in it...

Only way around this issue is to pour warm to hot water on the nozzle, and after 5 seconds or so, it's fine.... I'm thinking just the holes are clogged with ice, but then, why the hell only driver side? Shouldn't the wiper fluids clean that up?

Anyone else have this issue? Anyone else have any ideas why it's happening?

stripe a strand of speaker wire and use it to clear from the opening

That's happened to me before on my previous car, not my civic. If it freezes up, it's almost always due to bad fluid. I had to flush out the old stuff by using it all up and then put in new stuff. (note: I used to live in Ottawa)

Thats happened to me before too. I found out it was the windsheild washer fluid that was freezing up in the hose because I was not using the right temperature grade. That may be your problem, look on the bottle and see what it gives for a temperature rating.

mine never froze up before.... in fact it shoots right through the layer of snow (if it happends to be any) on the nozzle...and i use the crappy tire brand blue fluid.. it's just winshield washer fluid brands don't matter.... in fact i switching to the brand my wokr sells and is cheaper... the worst thing you do is dilute the washer fluid.. i knew some idiot who poured in H20 into the fluid resivior in his type R and it sure as hell froze over... LOL..
