DEPROGRAMING Remote entry…how?

On my 2001 Civic EX Coupe, how do I remove a keyless entry remote from the cars computer?

My EXgirlfriend has it. Yeah, I know I am dumb!

Thanks for your help in advance. Matt

it'll be easiest to just go to your dealer and have them reprogram it.

Don't go to the dealer - they'll charge you an arm and a leg. Here's a DIY. Note the last bullet - starting the programming sequence resets all remotes.

My Exgirlfriend has my other set of keys. I already put a hidden switch to disable the starter. I changed how my car looks and have moved so I just want to make sure that if she sees me one day she "test" it to see if that is my car or not with out looking dumb and going up to the car and trying the key in the door.

Thanks for the help!

PS. The D.I.Y. "Clearing Your 7th Gen Civic Headlights (and front bumper removal)" works and is EASY to do!
