Flimsy Body Panels - BE CAREFUL!

I couldn't find anything on the forums about this. Probably because I really don't know what keywords to search for. Anyway...

Be careful when applying any amount of pressure to your body panels. The 7th gen civic has the most flimsy body I've ever seen. I've got 3 dents in my car already.... One from lightly banging on my car to test the alarm, another from rocking the car back and forth to test the KONIS and another from pushing on the fender to test the koni at the front right. It doesn't take much and I've already put 3 dents in my car just noticing 2 of them today. So be careful! Don't make the same mistakes I did!

Almost all hondas have flimsy sheet metal. "Thin" would be a better word to describe it. That gotta keep the weight down so their little gerbal boxes can provide the car with adequate power.

Yep, I've had to fix a dent in my rear quarter panel because some idiot leaned against it

And then I also have to get one fixed in my front right fender from something. I don't know how it got there.

Oh well, love my car...

I'd suggest not touching your body at all unless you're using a sponge...

Ya think thats bad, my passenger side quarter panel is messed up....seem to be misalinged and isn't lining up properly with the rest of the body...this as a result of going over a rather large dip and my car bottoming out...

My friend barely touched my pasenger door panel with his car door and it left a ding. I saw it happen and I mean he BARELY made contact with the body panel, and on top of that his car had edge guards. "Microthin" is a better word to discribe it.

I wonder if it would at all be possible to go to Honda and be like, "This is ridiculous! The body shouldn't be this weak!" And maybe they'll have dent wizard fix it on their dime...

(yeah right)

Well, I tried to look in my extended warranty packet and they clearly stated that they do no cover the body work under warranty, which sucks, but I am planning on saving up some money and having them fix it....Damn Honda execs!
