oil rings

Since my car likes to eat oil, not much 1 qt 1000 miles.

i was wondering EZONE,

can i take the oil pan out, and unbolt the rods and remove the pistoons from the bottom with out taking the head?


do i have to remove the crank or can i do it with crank in place.

idea jack the car up take te oil pan , oil pump pipe, and rotate the crank and remove them ?

Pretty sure the pistons come up once you unbolt the rods from underneath.

the issue is that you need to compress the rings before inserting the piston in the cylinder. No way of doing that easily from the bottom.

No way in hell. Not physically possible.

Cylinder head comes off, pistons go out through the top.
