Thumbs down A/C not cooling
Hey, my A/C is very cold at times, but today in the summer heat (when I needed it most) it would not cool down.

What can I do on my own to get it going again?

See if compressor quits engaging the clutch, but the radiator fans are still running...WAIT, what year is the car? They don't all operate the same on this.

Check clutch relay operation
check clutch plate air gap
check clutch coil resistence
