Hey everyone, so I'm having trouble getting my 04 civic to start. Sometimes it starts and other times it won't. When it doesn't want to start, there is a click, just one click when i turn the key. Ill turn the key a few more times and it will start sometimes, but barely. The other times when it does start, its as if there is nothing wrong. The weather has gotten colder, so I'm not sure if this could be a possible factor. Thanks

Hey everyone, so I'm having trouble getting my 04 civic EX to start. AutoTrans, 195k miles. Sometimes it starts and other times it won't. When it doesn't want to start, there is a click, just one click when i turn the key. Ill turn the key a few more times and it will start sometimes, but barely. 2004 civic EX, auto trans., 195k miles. Just had a head gasket replaced due to overheating, but that's fixed.

Try performing percussive maintenance (mechanical agitation) on your starter (yes, smack the crap out of it).
