Behind the kickpanel??

I'm chasing a water leak on the drivers side that has soaked the carpet. Behind the kickpanel up under the dash I found water running down in the very corner of the cabin. I also found a leak around the grommet of what looks like a drain tube but there's nothing connected to it. The tube is dry inside. The water comes in around the base of the grommet. Does anyone know what this tube is for?

check your rad/coolant level, is it low?

that leak could be coolant leaking from your heater core and/or connecting hoses

Shouldn't I smell antifreeze if it was that? I don't smell anything. The leak is coming in around a grommet behind the kickpanel. I'm trying to upload the picture but having trouble since I incorrectly posted this issues under the gen8 forum with the picture.

Re: Behind the kickpanel??

I think I figured it out. There was a hose pushed back into a hole that I didn't see. I tested the sunroof drain and it all poured out into the floor. I hooked it up to the black tube shown in the picture and tested the sunroof drain again. No water.

Sorry I wasn't around earlier. Merged the 2 threads so this may read kinda funny.

Yes, sunroof drain tubes sometimes pull out and leak. Secure it with a hose clamp if possible?
