coolant leak

Hi

so in the spring, i changed out the timing belt, tensioner and water pump and everything was great up until a few weeks ago

the heat would work intermittenatly and a few days ago, i noticed that i'm leaking coolant from the drivers side.

The car temp is within the normal range and is not over heating.

Looking around, i cannot find any hoses that would cause the leak from the drivers side and the only thing i can think of is that i'm leaking from the water pump.

Before i tear everything apart to get to the water pump, is there anything else you might suggest i look at?

thank you

Re: coolant leak

Walk away from the parts cannon... Know anyone close that has a pressure tester? Diagnose it first. Sure would suck to put a pump on when all it needed was a clamp.

Re: coolant leak

The timing belt and water pump change from this spring, was it a Honda OEM water pump?

I'd suggest LOOK at the water pump before tearing it apart. You can see the weep holes from underneath with a flashlight.

Thank you ezine. Didn't know you can see the weep holes from the bottom so that was the reason to take it all apart to see if I can see the source of the leak.

Thank you

Re: coolant leak

You may want a small mirror for better view, but they can be seen without teardown.
