02 civic electrical problem

Hi Im new to the forum. Im having a problem with my 02 civic. I replaced the transmission all went fine i got the car back together started the car looked like i was in the clear then i noticed a leak from the fluid line fixed the leak and went to start the car again and it wont start it wont even crank there is no check engine light but the oil pressure light looks dim and continues to dim also there is an intermittent clicking from the ecu power relay area. i have checked for blown fuses and found none i have also rechecked all the sensors i unplugged to pull the transmission. Does anyone have any ideas what might have happened between me starting it up for the first time and trying to restart it?

Re: 02 civic electrical problem

start with the basics,

have you checked the battery voltage? maybe its dead?

next check to see if the starter is getting power,

when you turn the key to "on" do the dash lights come on like normal?

is your radio working? lights working?

check the ground strap(s) from the frame to the engine,

battery terminals tight and clean?

battery ground to frame/engine tight? clean?

Re: 02 civic electrical problem

Battery ground cable.....on the trans.... has poor contact, corrosion, loose bolt?

Got any jumper cables? Clamp one part to the battery neg post and clamp the other to plain unpainted clean steel or aluminum on the engine or trans. If it runs now then your battery ground cable is the problem---somewhere..
