2004 civic SI Car does not heat up
Hello,
I just bought this car last week and everything was fine. but now when i start the car it does not warm up. the temperature of the car after being on for about 10 minutes goes right under the middle between hot and cold, closer to the cold side. when i drive there is no hot air coming out of the vents it is cold air and the car does not warm up inside. i was told it may be my head gasket. can someone help me and tell me what i should do to fix this. thanks

Canadian Si = USA EX. 1.7 engine.
My nickel bet says you bought yourself a car with a bad head gasket.

Do read that post linked by ezone above... I turned on my heater full blast just on a whim to see what was going on (it was weaksauce)... and thought crap, I may have a HG problem. However, reading through that thread... just because your heater output is a bit weak, doesn't mean there's automatically a bad HG -- there are a lot of tests to do before you can narrow it down to nothing but.
Car is getting its front raised on jackstands and run cap-off, for starters -- car was sold to me with quite low -- but not out of the lines -- coolant in the overflow reservoir. Refilled, but probable needs a burp.
