Oil Accumulation
Oil Accumulation
I'm about to put a dc sports ceramic header on my em2, i noticed i have oil accumulation between the block and the head, im not having any over heating issues, what is/ how do i fix this, im sure its simple, thanks in advanced
Re: Oil Accumulation
hard to tell but looks like valve cover gasket,
while you are doing your timing belt and have the valve cover off, i would suggest replacing the valve cover gasket, the camshaft end cap/seal (passenger end of cam), and the 4 seals around the spark plug holes, that should take care of all possibilities,

Re: Oil Accumulation
there is a cap that seals the passenger end of the camshaft, where the distributor would be if the car had one....its fairly common for that cap to develop a leak over long periods of time and, when it does oil will drip down and sit on top of the tranny, there are many threads on here about it,
