2002-lx (check engine light)
light on dashboard … already checked this forum's url :
check_engine_light
i just wish for the light to disappear … am not here to trouble-shoot … have no problems with the car.
tried opening the instrument-cluster by removing three-screws and disconnecting two plugs … light-bulb on upper-left corner activates four dummy-lights … remove the bulb, all four dummy-lights fail.
tried the tip with engine-fuse-box (fuse-6) … three dummy-lights fail.
i wish to fail / interrupt only the "check-engine-light" … is this possible ? do i need to de-solder some connx ?
pls do not tell me to go to auto-zone … the car performs fine ! i have owned my car from her birth … she will remain with me until her death.

Re: 2002-lx (check engine light)
Solve the actual problem correctly, and the light will be off until a new problem comes up.
Pretty simple process.
