Unhappy Something is rattling

I have a 2002 honda civic sedan. It doesnt happen all the time, but sometimes when I reach speeds between 35-45 mph and my foot rests on the gas pedal at that speed, something rattles. It feels like it is on the passenger side of the car and as soon as I take my foot off the gas pedal or change my speed it stops. It happens often enough that I want to make sure its nothing serious. Any idea as to what it could be?

Re: Something is rattling

Might be something in your suspension,
I would remove the wheel and check if anything is leaking/torn/broken

Re: Something is rattling

Check your exhaust as well. Might be a hanger or something. My car had a similar issue when the resonator started to go. It was accompanied by a deep bass underneath the car though......

Re: Something is rattling

I'm a very new member and I have 2005 Civic Lx. This happend to me last week and I took it to a work shop. The guy 1st replaced the breaks and the noice was still there. Then he replaced the Hub bearings on the passenger side and the noice went away. He didn't change the driver's side and said if there is a need we can do it later.

I found the following from one of the web pages:
The most common symptom for HONDA Civic hub bearing failure is noise. This is a humming noise that changes pitch with the speed of the vehicle and may also come and go as you turn left or right. Unevenly worn tires and some road surfaces can cause similar noises.

Hope this helps.

Re: Something is rattling

Could be something as simple as a heat shield underneath the car but chances are if u needed a bearing on one side u might on the other, if it is the bearing it should snd like a whizzing noise getting louder the faster u go and not really a rattling ! :/
On the other hand it could be a number of things ie track rod end, springs ect
