Hi guys,
I just bought a 2008 auto Honda Civic Vti-L.
I have noticed a slight rattle (very noticeble) coming from the engine when the car is in drive & reverse. You can only hear it when its either idle or at a low speed.
No rattle is audible when car is in neutral or park..

The rattle seems to fade as you accelerate..

Deffinetly coming from the engine

Any ideas on what the issue could be???

Could be a normal amount, would need to check with another similiar vehicle.

Motor or trans mount may need replacing.

Deffintely sounds concerning.. doesnt seem like a normal amount as it seems like there is some sort of knocking happening..

If anyone can offer their opinion would be greatly appreciated, i cant see a mechanic for another week or 2..

I couldn't hear a dang thing. The fan in this laptop apparently makes more noise than those recordings.


Check the oil level and oil condition?

If it sounds like knocking on a door it could be rod knock.

I couldn't really hear it either.
