Suspension Question?
Suspension Question?
Hey, I have a 2002 Civic coupe and it has 183,000 miles on it. I took it a shop and they told me that I'm going to need new struts. The total cost for parts and labor is around $800.00. I was always thinking of lowering my car,
If i lower my car would it be cheaper then to buy OEM parts or do i still have to buy OEM parts plus other stuff to get the car lowered?

Re: Suspension Question?
if you're going to spend $800 on replacing them, might as well lower it yourself with new struts, springs and camber
completely up to you though, springs only have a set amount of drop, so they arent changeable to your liking

Re: Suspension Question?
How much do you think will cost to drop it. Just a little bit. I don't even want the wheels to tuck. Are there any kits that you know of? Or any websites?

Re: Suspension Question?
Tokico hp struts, tein s.tech lowering springs and a good quality camber kit like ingalls or spc will be around $700, that would be a complete set-up for lowering you car. You would still need to change out and components that have weakened over time like ball joints, tie rod ends and LCA bushings because a lowered car is hard on its suspension.
