Cluster Swap Gone Bad

I was swapping out my old 05 VP speedometer for a 04 Lx speedometer and ran into a problem. After re-pinning everything (double checked), I turned everything on to find out that the radio does not work. I find this strange. Are the pins for the cluster related at all to the radio? If so, does anyone know which pin (color/pattern) I should look for to solve this problem? Also, my gas needle tells me I'm running empty and my dome light doesn't work on the 'door' option.
A side question- There's only supposed to be 1 wire (white-red from Green adapter) that doesn't need to be pinned, right?
Any help would be appreciated!

Re: Cluster Swap Gone Bad

Pinout shows no radio wire. Sounds like you blew the Multiplex control unit. Did you disconnect the battery before you began work?

Re: Cluster Swap Gone Bad

I thought it had no relation. And no, I did not disconnect the battery. If it is the Multiplex unit, how do I go about repairing that?

Re: Cluster Swap Gone Bad

wow i normally never disconnect the battery for any work, but the cluster swap is the one time you really have to. there are live wires and its very easy to short something out. hopefully its just a fuse. and when you say the radio doesnt work, do you mean it doesnt light up? or that it does not turn on and play music.

Re: Cluster Swap Gone Bad

The radio simply doesn't turn on anymore. I don't see my clock either. It's completely off =/
Thanks for the help, everybody =) Hopefully, it's just the fuse ><

Re: Cluster Swap Gone Bad

FINALLY got the radio working again!!! Turns out, that it WAS just a blown fuse. It was the 'back up' fuse under the hood. Thanks for all the help guys!!!
