well my car now has 255k on it and the second tranny is ready to explode.... is this normal for this car..... clutch is original and fine so its not my driving.. hell i drive and treat this thing like its gold...... anyone eles buring through trannies like this... so far i have had the leaky trunk (both sides), on my 3rd set of headlights, 4th alternator, second intake manifold, second suspension system, 3rd muffler, 4th set of brake pads, 3 set of rotors,

Mine went down by 73k, just after an autoX. tic.tic.tic sound.
final tally:
1st/2nd gear, all bearing changed.
Also had both shafts and all motor mounts.
Reason: 1" lowering without camber kit... rears had too much camber (-1.6 deg)and car would understeer like a pig, spin front wheels in hard cornering.
since then had to change LCA too.
Now running skunk2 rears with corrected camber around -0.5, fronts too. drives great and slight oversteer at limit.

i drive this car very very efficiently... and yes i can drive a stick.. comming off the farm is saskatchewan, i have been driving $500,000 tractors since i was 12! i just have had very bad luck with this car.... i guess i should stop being nice to it and drive it like i stole it.. maybe then it will work.. hell i have never had it over 4k on the rpms... and i change oil everytime canadian tire puts the castrol high mileage on sale.. so at least once a month.. excessive..... yes.... but my engine has never seen black oil...
