93 civic ex transmission problem
i have a 93 civic ex that i just got and it grinds when i go from high 2 gear to 3 only. Its not to bad but i was wondering if i could just change the fluid and that could fix the problem. because i will be using this car to get to and from school which is a 40 min drive one way. It has 120,XXX on it and i dont think the tranny fluid has been changed.
I was also wondering if i was to change it if i could use pennziol synchromesh for my tanny fluid?
Thanks cs2727

Re: 93 civic ex transmission problem
I put that synchromesh in mine but it didn't take away the grind. you might as well put 10w-30 in there. The grind is becouse the synchronizer is worn out. You can just live with it and try to shift at just the right speed to reduce it. You probably won't experience total transmission failure for another 100k.
