Transmission on a Kia

This lady I work with wants to know if her Son should pay 300.00 for a new Tanny and then 300.00 in Labor to have it replaced or buy a new car??

Is 600.00 to much for a tranny and install???

I was thinking isn't a Kia covered by a 100,000 mile Warranty?? Wouldn't that cover the Tranny???

yes, it should be covered and yes even tho its rebuilt, thats still an awesome price.

crap my 96 cavalier cost 1800 but the tranny was completly shot and differential was locked. said they never saw a differential locked up like that on any car like that. lol

As for a kia, I dont know. Go to streetkiaZ.com and ask them, but dont expect more than 1 intelligent answer out of 100.

yah if it's not under warranty, take that offer.

rebuilt or not, that's cheap for a tranny and install. Some shops charge 1500 or more just for the parts without install like others have said above. I just don't know what a Kia would run.
