The SRS light can come on if the cable below the seat was unplugged, if the sensors in the seats are malfunctioning, or if something else is malfunctioning in the SRS system.
It can be reset, but if after it has been reset it comes back on, then something is actually wrong with your SRS system. If it doesn't come back on, it was just a false alarm.
